My granddaughter helped me pick these out online. I was worried they’d be too flashy for a man my age, but the tortoise pattern is actually quite classic. The frame is flexible but not flimsy, and the clear bridge lets me read without fogging up. Good value for the price.

Took these on a weekend trip and already got two compliments. The material feels sturdy—polyamide? Whatever it is, it’s got some give, so I’m less worried about snapping them in my bag. I prefer a subtle flex in the temples; these do that nicely. Not super flashy, just clean lines and that rich shell pattern. Would’ve liked a slightly darker tint, but that’s nitpicking. If you want frames that don’t scream but still pop, these are it.

Ordered these for reading in the garden, and I must say, the craftsmanship is quite pleasing. The brown tortoise has that warm, classic look—reminded me of frames from the 70s but modern. The fit is snug without pinching; my daughter even commented they suit my face shape well. My only advice: if your nose bridge is narrow, these might slide a little. I added those silicone grips, no issues after that. Quality glass for the money.
