Well, I’ve been wearing glasses for over forty years, so I know a solid frame when I feel one. This pair here, the Victor Browline, has that nice heft in the hand—not too flimsy—and the acetate on the brow is a good thickness that won’t crack if you sit on ‘em by accident. I picked the black and silver because it’s clean; no need for flashy colors at my age. The adjustable nose pads are a mercy for my reading hours, and the silver wire part doesn’t leave those green marks my old metal frames did. My daughter says I look like a younger professor now, which I’ll take as a compliment.
