Do photochromic lenses work in the car?
Standard photochromic lenses rely on UV light, which a car windshield partly blocks, so they may not darken as much while driving. Transitions XTRActive and XTRActive Polarized lenses are the options designed for the car.
Can I get photochromic lenses with or without a prescription?
Yes. For prescription photochromic glasses, choose a frame, click Select Lenses, enter your prescription, then pick the photochromic option you prefer. For non-prescription photochromic lenses, choose Non-prescription as the usage, then select Transitions & Photochromic and pick your lens color.
Can photochromic lenses replace my sunglasses?
Photochromic glasses give you UV protection and darken outdoors, so they work for everyday outdoor wear. If you're often in bright light and reflective glare, look at Transitions XTRActive Polarized.
