What are prism glasses, and what are they used for?
Prism glasses use prism lenses, which bend light to help both eyes work together. They're designed to help with double vision and eye alignment, and they're prescribed by an eye care professional.
What do vertical, horizontal, and base direction mean on a prism prescription?
Prism is measured in prism diopters (Δ). Vertical prism moves the image up or down, horizontal prism moves it side to side, and the base direction (up, down, in, or out) shows which way the thick edge of the prism points. Can I add prism to my regular prescription?
Yes — with Viewner's prism glasses, prism correction is added on top of your usual prescription lenses, including progressive, bifocal, and reading prescriptions. Choose a frame, then add your prism values at lens selection.
What prism information do I need to order?
You'll need the vertical and horizontal prism values for each eye, along with the base direction for each, as written on your prescription.
