The spring hinges are a bonus; they survived being sat on once. He says the acetate feels high-quality, not flimsy plastic. For the price, solid value for a man who usually runs through glasses every year.

The matte black front contrasts really well with the polished gold temples—it’s understated but catches the light when you turn your head. I love that they’re not too wide across my face; the bridge sits snug without leaving red marks at lunch. Pair them with a dark navy blazer, and you’re instantly polished.

Chose the black-gold because I wanted something that didn’t look like everyone else’s, and it works. The frame has a slight weight to it—feels sturdy, not cheap—but doesn’t slide off my nose when I look down at my phone. Only wish the nose pads were a tiny bit wider; I had to adjust them myself. Not a deal-breaker though.
